About me

My name is Zain Horning and I've lived in southern New York State all of my life. I have a A.S. in Computer Science from Corning Community College and I'm working toward a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Alfred University in Alfred, NY. I live near the City of Corning, NY. Corning is best known as the Headquarters for Corning Incorporated, which produces many glass related products such as pots, pans and fiber optics. I have many hobbies and interests; A few are listed below.

Some of my other hobbies include:

  • FlyFishing - Whenever I have some free time, I like to head out to some of the local rivers to trout fish.

  • Restoration of Antique Tractors - This is a hobby which compliments my engine restoring hobby. I only have one tractor right now (IHC F-14).

  • Maple Syrup - I'm what most would consider a "backyard sugarer". In the spring, I enjoy tapping trees and making maple syrup. Most years I make about 10 gallons.

  • Cars - I enjoy tinkering with VW's and Audi's. My current victim is an Audi 4000S Quattro.
