12 inch Power Hacksaw |

This belongs to my Father-in-law, Coley, and was used at his garage in Laanecoorie up until the late 1980's when the garage closed. It was then used at Glenn's farm and has spent considerable time out in the weather.
Decided to restore it for something different for my engines to drive, and will be very handy cutting pipe for trolley wheels.
Was originally driven by electric motor. The aluminium pulleys on the bottom providing a 4:1 reduction. Designed to run at approx. 400 rpm, so I will remove the aluminium pulleys, cleaning up the appearance, and use the Ronaldson Tippet N to work it via a flat belt.
Make is unknown, probably home-made and the year of manufacture is also undetermined.
The saw is complete and requires new guides, bushes, blade and a general clean-up. |
