The head is all done now, my grandpa once again came to the rescue and built a new needle valve for the mixer and a new piston for the fuel pump. The new parts are pictured below as well as a shot of the head in my Bridgeport getting ready to remove the mixer studs that broke off.
The reproduction fuel tank arrived this week from John Wanat (John makes awesome reproduction tanks!) so I decided to build a new wood skid for the engine and cooling tank. I had some dimensions and a picture to follow but somewhere along the line I made a mistake or two but it will work just fine for now. Like the rest of the engine it will not be painted.
