These pages are provided for both enjoyment and serious study of the Ruston Hornsby range of engines produced in the late 19th and early to mid 20th Century, and the earlier makes that went to make up what became Ruston-Hornsby of Lincoln.
The pages have been composed to be displayed at 1024 X 768 resolution, to get the maximum amount of information on the screen without the need for continual scrolling while reading the information in the pages. If your monitor does not display to this resolution the images and text will be displaced. Setting your browser window to use a smaller font will help to get more on the screen, but it is no substitute for a higher resolution in the first place. We hope this will not detract from your enjoyment of the information and images contained in the pages.
To keep the size of the site down, I will not have as many images as some would like to see initially. My site is hosted by oldengine.org at no cost to myself or visitors, and I try to show appreciation of this service by not abusing the free space made available.
This is the first page of what I hope will be a growing information source for owners of the Ruston-Hornsby marque. I will be placing my contact details on the site as soon as possible, and I welcome requests for information and assistance. Please note that I cannot view images on my home email, so please bear that in mind when sending emails to me.
