Hey Reverend:
finally got a chance to view this on my own. Your not online so Ill try to write something profound. Your site is one of the best on the net and I would greatly appreciate it if you would use your superb skilsl to help build a home page for the High Sch ool, then a secondary page for the Mac Lab in which we can advertise for companies to "dump off" their old macs. Anyway Ill see you tomorrow in math. Later

I have acquired a Case VAC like yours,(almost its a 1951),but in much worse shape...its been sitting in a field for 15 years. It was my uncle's,so the interest is there to restore it.I need to find an orignal front end because someone converted the tric ycle to a regular two wheel front end,but I think I have found a parts tractor to get the original wheels from..good to see the pics and esp. the sounds!!!I am new to the antique tractor bug...only 29 but I love the old Iron.Thanks...

I thought the Hart-Parr gas tractor ad was interesting. I just read the book "Bad Land" set in 1910-1920 Eastern Montana. I imagine those homesteaders saw these very same ads when they were lured by the same easy cash dreams that the tractor implemen t companies promised.

Great web site. I am an enthusiast of engines of all kinds old and new and I have a small collection of small air cooled gas engines and one of my favorites is part of an old reel mower I found about 16 years ago and I think it is about 50 or 55 yea rs old. It was not running when I found it but using my small engine repair knowlege I was able to get it to run since it is completely intact and all it needed was a new spark plug, drain and refill with new oil and clean out the fuel line and now it run s strong.
The engine was made by the Continental Motors Corporation in Michigan and uses an old rope pull starter
and plastic see through oil bath air cleaner. According
to the identification plate on the fan shroud it is model
number AC6, serial number 116099.

I've been collecting David Bradley tractors for quite a while, although I only have 2. But I also have a Bettendorf(I can't find any info on it) walk-behind with no motor and a home-made riding tractor I am trying to get a seat for. It has a Model A trans with a gear reduction unit on it that was sold durinng the depression to convert the Model A's to a tractor and a Model T rear end. The steering is Honda annd the engine is a Tecumseh 12 hp. It's kind of fun too drive aroound the yard but a bit un comfortable without a proper seat. I just started on the big tractors this year. I bought a 1951 Case Vac last April and have it running but am waiting for my tin to be painted. I just live in a suburban area so I don't have a chance to actually do any work with the Case. I use the DB's to plow my garden and clean the snow off my driveway. I hope to be moving to a place with acreage nest spring. Good luck to you. Tractors rule!!
