In order to drive out the wedges in the cross head we suspended an 8" X 5'
round of steel (600 lbs.) from the Pettibone crane and used it as a battering
ram. (Talk about a BFH!) After 20-25 hits, which made the Tod ring like a
church bell, there was a dull thud which told us that we were at least making
progress. Here Rick proudly holds one of the removed wedges from the HP side
while Dave Rotigel helps to hold up the 600 lb round of steel.
