In a lot of ways the restoration of this engine was a "Labor of Love." Years ago it was a 4 HP Domestic sideshaft (just like this one) that turned me on to old iron.

When I purchased the engine in June of 1995, I knew that I wouldn't be satisfied unless it was done right and I also knew that I was in no hurry.
