Several of my friends and acquaintances also own Ford tractors. Frank Scaturro, of Marlboro, NY, also owns this 1953 Ford Jubilee. Frank uses it on a regular basis to plow the garden in the summer and plow snow out of his driveway in the winter. Charlie painted this tractor too, and Frank keeps it in nice shape. Note the Sherman Plow attached to the rear, and also visible is the frame for the snow plow attachment on the front.
Frank also owns another Jubilee. This one has a front end loader, and another neat option-Howard Gears. Howard Gears allow the tractor to have a low range differential without affecting PTO speed like the Sherman Transmission. While they are designed to provide lower ground speed, for tasks like rototilling, they are not designed to provide increased torque. They break easily when overloaded, and parts are now very difficult and expensive to find. Note the picture of the Howard Gear Lever. It is the larger of the two levers, sticking straight up.
