This modification of the drill press pulley is made to assist in tapping holes by keeping the tap aligned with the hole.  It is also useful in turning the drill by hand when turning springs and other hardened surfaces.  Pictures are self explanatory.  BE SURE TO REMOVE THE HANDLE BEFORE TURNING THE POWER ON!!!
