This engine, given to me in 1988,
was in a real bad state and took four months to get the
piston free. The damage in the bore was horrific! I got
it lightly sand blasted and filled the holes with "Belzona".
After honing the bore, it runs very well with almost no
blowby. At last inspection, the repaired areas showed no
signs of letting go. The cowl was long gone and I prefer
it without so people can see the wonderful casting job
that went into making the cylinder. As you can see by the
handle, the motor runs reverse to the usual direction.
