This British made engine is a great solid running engine
with oil pump mains lubrication.
It has the hard to get muffler, maggy gear cover, maggy and float
bowl.
The float bowl has one lug broken but could be repaired, the top and
float are missing. If you pour petrol into the bowl you can start
the engine.
The maggy works well but has a little corrosion which will clean up
OK. The two BTH end plates are normally one section but have broken
apart. The end plate nearest the gear cover has a piece missing. This
could be repaired using the good end as a mold. The fun part of restoration.
The engine runs but needs the choke on to keep running, might just
be the rusty governor spring or throttle control slide needs setting
up? it is not a major problem just tuning.
It has a 7" pulley.
All in all, it is a good restoration project with 99% of the parts
there.
