| In the early days, labels were
posted out after the Vehicle Registration was paid for, an interim label
was issued until the original arrived in the mail. The official label
was in the form of a transfer, placed in warm water it would lift from the backing paper and be applied to the glass window. |

| Later labels are issued attached to the Registration papers, when the fee is payed at the registration office the cash register imprint is printed onto the label making it valid for twelve months. The label is then peeled off and placed on the left hand side window of the vehicle. | |
