In the mid-1970’s Struck introduced its wheeled tractor, the Turf Rider. It came in two basic sizes, the Big Job with 16 inch rear tires and wide stance and a smaller Compact version with 12 inch rear tires and a narrower stance. There were a myriad of attachments available for these tractors including manual and electric lifts, a front scoop, dozer blade, snow blower and a hydraulic front end loader. There were both manual and electric rear lift that handled plows, harrows, seeders, roto-tillers, scarifiers and other attachments. A host of pull behind attachments were available as well as a belly mount mowing deck; 38 inches for the Compact and 57 inches for the Big Job. Both tractors were available as 12 or 16 hp versions. A variation of the Turf Rider was the Yard Truck which had a bed on the back and the operator position moved forward. A half-track conversion kit was also available for extra traction. Production of the Turf Riders ceased in the early 1980’s.
