In 1964 Root introduced their Range Rider Tractor, Model TR 725. A 7 1/4 HP Briggs and Stratton engine supplied the power. Attachments included a 43” rotary mowing deck, a dozer blade, 8 inch moldboard plow, disc harrow and cultivator. Rear attachments required the optional rear lift hitch. A standard hitch allowed all pull behind attachment such as trailers, rollers, etc. to be used. While he first TR725’s were the traditional Root turquoise and white; later models were red and white in color. This model was available for only a few years and are relatively rare now. My TR725 came from middle Tennessee and was in pretty good condition. It was mostly complete and is in the process of restoration.
