The wife and I went to the friendly junk yard and found the usual pulley here, pulley there and then WHAM look what is sticking out here....... A little flat belt pulley with shaft still in it going way down. This hooked to a base of some sort and was burried big time. There's gotta be something on the other end down in there. Pulled a dozen rear brake drums out of the way. A bunch of transmission parts. There's another pulley on the shaft. Keep digging. Wait a minute, it looks like part of a mill! After 5 minutes of digging I freed it up out of the hole. Also dug around some more and found the cast hopper and one bracket to hold the hopper. The price was right too, free! Always trade em our 'junk' for their 'junk' J

This is a New Model Mill. It's all rusty and froze up. The hopper is cast iron. The hopper is just balancing on there for the picture.

The bracket on this side that holds the cast hopper is broken.

The bracket that holds this side of the cast hopper is missing and didn't find it in the scrap pile.

There is a yoke that hooks to the trough coming from the bottom of the hopper. The yoke fits around an eccentric on the main shaft. This shakes the trough back and forth and rattles the corn down into the area where the plates grind the corn. What is the extra pulley in the center for and also the toothed sproket?
