3 hp model K #62068 shipped 6-26-18 to Western Electric Co. Boston, MA.  This engine spent much of its life unused in Vermont and is in great shape, starts on third pull every time and will not miss a beat all day.  I had to put on a new dashpot as the original was broken, and the gear guard was missing so put a new one of those on too.  All it needs now is a new main fuel tank.

While at the Bernardston, MA show I just couldn't resist taking this little one home.  It's a 1923 1 1/2 hp model N with igniter and Splitdorf E-16 geared magneto #82851 shipped 5-21-23 to Construction Machinery Co. Waterloo, IA.  Only parts missing were the muffler and crank shield.  Had to rework everything except the cam gear and main bearings.  Engine is now restored and runs perfectly.

2 hp ND #180286 shipped 5-4-31 to Harlan Miller of Arlington, VT.  Bought at the Dublin NH show in Sept 2001.  Runs very well.

The elusive 2 hp NK #179937 shipped 3-27-31 to L.O. Lee in Ossian, IA.  This engine was not used much and is in great shape.

My second 2 hp NK #179355 shipped 8-27-30 to Brew Bros. Searles, MN.  This one is going to power my little F&J tractor.

I have a cylinder from a 2 1/2 hp N kerosene #17375 shipped 10-3-14 to CM McClunge & Co. of Knoxville, TN.  This engine started off as a block and rusty governor.  The base, crank and bearings caps plus the rod came from a model K.  The rest were scrounged from various model N engines or recast.  I cut all new gears and fitted a Wizard 2TO magneto.  Ken Majeski loaned me the piston from his People's Priced so I could cast me a new one.  Now I've got all the pieces, just need to put them together!

In November of 2002 I got another 3hp NA #85082 shipped 9-1-23 to The Jeffrey Mfg. Columbus, OH.  It has a Splitdorf #30 geared magneto and is generally complete.  The head was cracked and both valves are trashed.  Doesn't look all that bad, there is very little wear in the parts I've cleaned up so far.

While at Kinzer, PA in 2001 I bought a 3hp NA shipped 12-4-23 to Construction Machinery Co. Waterloo, IA..  This engine features a Wico EK magneto, relocated fuel fill and larger crankshaft.  After repairing a small leak in the fuel tank it fired right up!  Runs good and has great compression despite not having been in use for some time.

My first purchase of 2002!  The is an electric lighting unit built for Western Electric.  It's missing a fuel tank, top air shroud and a muffler but otherwise looks in great shape.  It's not very rusty and has spent its life under cover.  I'm told this engine has been running before but not in the last few years.  It was stuck from sitting but is now free.  In Feb 2005 I finally got round to getting this one running.  It goes along ok, I need a proper 32V coil and a better voltage source to run off of.

8hp model N #52847 shipped 11-14-16 to Ames Plow Co. Boston, MA.  It's in good mechanical shape, starts easy and runs very well.  I fixed the broken solder joint in the fuel tank and rebuilt the plugoscillator as it was worn and leaky.  Ignitor trip got rebuilt as did the valve lock mechanism.  Back half of muffler had a piece broke out so cast a new one.  I stuck this engine on my Saxon's cart for now, sure makes it easier to move.  Since the Saxon is in pieces in the shop I don't think it will mind if I borrowed its cart.

For some unexplained reason a 5hp K has always eluded me.  At one time I had four 3hp engines, but never a 5.  Several ads turned up nothing, but lucky for me fellow Fuller & Johnson collector Ken Majeski came to my rescue!  I traded Ken my klunky old IHC 6M for his klunky old 5hp K.  Engine #67401 was shipped 1-9-19 to Consumers Store, Rice Lake, WI.  I installed new valve guides, cut new seats, made a new exhaust valve and reworked the aux air intake valve.  The engine runs very well and is in great condition but still needs a Sumpter #25 magneto.  Special thanks to Bill Sartelle for helping out with transport.

This one will go nice with my 5hp K.  It's a 4hp model N kerosene engine #14485 shipped 3/29/15 to G. F. Brill, Morrison, WI with a rare Pfanstiehl geared magneto.  It's mostly complete with little wear, no repairs and runs very well.  When purchased the special air heater and muffler were missing.  Thanks to Jerry Merta I was able to borrow the parts off his engine and have them cast.  This engine is now complete except for the crank guard.

I've never seen a pump engine with the rotary magneto here in the USA but it seems nearly all that were exported had them.  Since only the block and cover plate are different I purchased these parts from Edd Payne during my trip to Australia.  After much delay with other projects this engine is nearly finished!

5 hp Special Electric model NA engine # 93775 shipped 3-6-25 to the Beach Mfg. Co. Oshkosh, WI.  This engine has an extra wide crowned flywheel on the right side for driving a dynamo.  For ignition it has the seldom seen Splitdorf model G magneto.  It needs a bit of work but is in pretty good order with heaps of compression and it does run very well.

1923 2 1/2 hp model NA.  This engine was running when it fell off the back of a friend's truck.  It is badly damaged and well beyond any hope of repair.  It was originally off a lawn mower so I salvaged the related parts and set the rest out my Mum's garden.

2 1/2 hp model NA engine # 87049.  This engine was stuck but pulled free with little effort.  I need a connecting rod for it and a magneto bracket.

This 9hp model K #70929 with geared Splitdorf 30 magneto was shipped 9-10-20 oddly enough to Buzacott & Co. of Sydney Australia.  However, this engine spent it's life in Ohio.   I had a new muffler cast and this engine is now complete.  It starts off a battery and is then switched to the magneto.  I rebuilt the throttle valve assy, governor, ignitor and trip and put all new gears on it in November 2007.
