| A few pictures of replacing pipe and pump in an old pump house. This pump is the lower of two pumps that supply the domestic water for the observatory. Water from this well is pumped part way up the hill to a second well. From there it is pumped on up the rest of the way to a large poured concrete storage tank. These pictures were taken during late 2002 when a failed pump had to be replaced. |
