| Recently I had a chance
to take a few pictures of this interesting and rare engine. It is owned
by Anton Affentranger of Bakersfield, Calif. and was having a new governor
fitted by Greg Johnson of El Cajon, Calif. Originally it was used in the
Salinas area of California.
Time did not permit figuring out just how it works but was described as a gearless 4 cycle with a piston operated igniter. The exhaust cam is on the crankshaft and it uses a "vapor mixer" for carburetion. The overall engine height is about 46 inches and the flywheel is 34 inches in diameter with a face width of 3 inches. |
| As usual there are larger pictures behind the thumbnails. |
