Type "Pinkney's Patents Vertical Gas Engine"

When the Otto four cycle patent lapsed in 1890, Tangye finished production of their Robson and Clerk patent two stroke engines. Tangye decided in the Spring of 1891 to start manufacturing a four-cycle engine on the ‘Otto’ principle but using features developed and patented by Charles W. Pinkney

As with most Tangye dating records when the last "Pinkney's Patents Vertical Gas Engine" was built is unknown, but continued for some time in parallel with their Pinkney's Patents Horizontal Gas & Petroleum Engines.
