KN McDonald D.F.C

Kenneth Neal McDonald, son of A.H. McDonald joined his father's business in 1934. Starting at the bottom, as was usual in those days, sweeping floors, making blue prints and serving tea to the draughtsmen, he slowly worked his way up the ladder, eventually succeeding his father as Managing Director His 47 years of service was broken only by a six year wartime stint with the R.A.A.E as a pilot, with the rank of Flight Lieutenant on demobilisation, having been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for service with No. 31 Beaufighter Squadron. Upon retirement as General Manager of Jaques McDonald in 1981
KN McDonald has spent many hours researching material for this books and continues to be an invaluable source of information about the McDonald company and the vast range of products it manufactured. His two books are:
  • A.H. McDonald, Industrial Pioneer
  • Fifty Years of McDonald Imperial Tractors
