Our club, Vaal Old Wheels holds a social "get together" at about this time every year. It is not a show or rally although many members do arrive in their vintage cars or trucks.
    We were fortunate to have really nice weather this year and delicious "potjiekos" was served with a spectacular display of salads. Much beer and other equally interesting beverages were consumed.

    The occassion is also used for handing out the annual prizes and awards to club members for their achievements in the past year and I am very happy to report that my daughter, Jacqui, recieved the "Stationary Engine Trophy" for her Wolseley Senator. She was ecstatic and the tears of joy flowed freely!

This was a real surprise and I thank the committee members for their choice. It is really nice to see a younger member recognised and gives them a lot of encouragement.
