Someone literally dumped this small, modern aircooled engine on my doorstep this week.

    At first glance I thought Italian or Chinese (and mentally  calculated the going rate for aluminium scrap these days).

Today, I had a closer look and saw "Made in U.S.A." and that got me curious.

Can anyone identify it for me?
a) What make / model etc.
b) What is it off?
c) What can I do with it (apart from take it to the scrapyard) ?

I realise that the air cowling (and maybe other parts are missing).
