PORTLAND 2001 Post Portland

Portland ends with two loaded trailers and a long drive east to Pittsburgh, keeping an eye on the trailer and next vehicle back in the convoy! We finished up the trip with a day out in Pittsburgh, revisiting the newly painted Mesta air-blower at Station Square we first saw two years ago. It's a different way to measure how two boys have grown, to compare them to a flywheel that size!! Christian was a little disappointed not to see any trains here this year, but that just means we'll have to go back again to see the trains! Here's Arnie with Tom and Chris, and the Mesta blower in the background. The final place to visit was a pilgrimage for Arnie and Jim to the Church Brew Works for a last pint together.
