| The first job Jim did on Norma Jean was to make a new wooden handle for the crank. Of
course, it had to look right, to match the age of the engine. Next came the design and build of a cart. The starting point was a set of wheels Jim's brother had brought back from Belgium. With a little help from the new MIG welder, a cart soon took shape. The sign will fit on the side of the cart, hinged and able to flap up under the cart using a magnetic strip. |

| I didn't actually go to Norma Jean's UK debut. It was held at Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary on the weekend of 8-9 May 2004, which was one of the wettest of the year. The outcome of the rally was a vow from Jim NEVER to display engines in the rain again .... at least, not in knee deep mud. However, from the other exhibitors, Norma Jean got the admiration she deserved, and shortly afterwards, when her new shed had been re-roofed, she finally came home. |
| The new shed has a low roof, so parts of the pump have been temporarily removed, but Narma Jean has been lovingly treated with a coat of boiled linseed oil and had the mud removed from her wheels! |
