Our son Tom's first car was a classic Mini, and although he's made improvements and repairs to it, he wanted a long term project to keep him busy. He settled on a Mini van, bought a rolling shell off eBay and set to work. He kept a record of his progress with regular updates to the Mini Forum giving clear details, with photographs, of how he was doing the various jobs. His endeavours were noticed by the editor of Mini Magazine, who got in touch and asked if he could feature Tom's project as an on-going work. The result? A three-page article in the August issue.
