The No.8 Hexagon Bar Lathe was intended to carry out production work on Hex bar. Similar to the other No8 lathes, plus a higher centre height of 8¾" and a capacity though the headstock of 3½". The gearbox was all roller and ball bearing construction, and covered bed slides were standard. Swing over the bed covers was 19½" with a centre height of 10¾".
Power feeds to both saddles were standard, and the covered bed was fitted with stainless steel covers. Pumped gearbox lubrication was another feature mentioned in the factory literature.
