This is an arrangement for the purpose of regulating the fuel supply during the time that an internal combustion engine is being operated by means of compressed air, either for the purpose of starting or running.
The device comprises a pipe leading from the valve supplying compressed air to the engine cylinder to a three-way valve operated by an extended lever on the eccentric fulcrum shaft controlling the fuel-valve lever, and connected to a casing containing a piston valve in such a way that the air pressure tends to lift the valve from its seat.
This arrangement is intended to allow of the liquid fuel which is being pumped through the pipes into the upper chamber of the valve casing flowing down past the valve into a tank provided below.
