In engines of the continuous combustion type the fuel is injected and atomised by means of air at a high pressure, and the present invention describes an improved method of controlling and regulating this injection air.
The method consists essentially in arranging two or more vessels which contain air at different but given pressures, in such a way that they can be permanently or temporarily placed in communication with the comparatively short injection pipe leading to the fuel-valves, or to the atomising or spraying device.
