Diesel Engine Patents

Hans Theodor Bruns Patent No 28066 of 1909

This invention relates to improvements in starting and reversing mechanisms for single and multi-cylinder two-stroke cycle engines.

The above operations are effected by means of compressed air and are chiefly characterised by the fact that the reversing device comprises operating members, adapted to be alternately actuated by a reversing member, to operate either of two valves, connected by conduits to the starting valve, so that the engine can be caused to run forwards or backwards.
