Describes an invention relating to safety devices for use with the supply of cooling water to the cylinder head.
The invention comprises the employment of a tank adapted to receive the discharge from the engine jacket, and provided with a regulatable outlet, a float being provided in this tank, which float, on the failure of the jacket water supply for a predetermined and regulatable period of time, gives warning by means of a bell or its equivalent, and on a continuation of the failure for a further predetermined and regulatable period of time, acts to stop the engine, both actions being effected by an electric circuit.
