The AMARC "Desert Boneyard" tour at Davis-Monthan Air Base:

The tour is by air-conditioned coach, and runs along a pre-set route. Photographs are allowed from the coach but nobody is allowed out of the coach at any time, and a lot of the 'exhibits' are placed along the route to get as many as possible into the tour.

Generally, it was well worth the trip and we were pleased that we were able to see as much as we did. The tour had a commentary by one of the museum staff, and he was able to fill in a lot of detail on the site and the exhibits. Highly Recommended.
