A modern stationary engine at a recently abandoned
Cranberry Bog located in Harwich Massachusetts. Rumor has it the owner
had to let the cranberry operation go for back taxes. Photos taken
in July 2001.
The Engine
A 4.3 or 3.8 GM V6 I think. A small block chevy V8 ran this pump for many
years. A straight 6 was in the other shed. Both ran on propane.

The Old Engine
This engine sat in the center of the bog and drove the pump thru a long
flat belt. It sat unused in the bog until someone hauled into the
woods sometime in the early ninetys. I couldn't get close enough to get
good pictures. it was full of yellow jackets. Any ideas what it is??
