One of the things you can see from the CMSGMA show at the Orange Airport are the skydivers. They land in the sandpit just to the southeast of our show grounds. Did you know that "sky diving" was INVENTED in Orange Massachusetts in the 1950's?
What you see here are "training jumps". The student jumps in tandem with the instructor on the first few jumps. They won't let you jump by yourself until they are sure you are ready. Another thing to notice is that the jumpers seem to spread out all over the entire sky, but with their steerable chutes, they all land in an area of less than one acre.
