Above: left - a nice trio of steamers; next - a closer view of the Advance
Rumely; next - a closer view of the little Kitty :-) last - before the engines
etc, the farmers used sweeps to power mills etc. Here is a stationary hay
press operated by a one horse (I think) sweep.
