Pictured with the Engleberg rice mill is Herbert Fontenot, age 84, of Eunice. Herbert is a friend and mentor and was very instrumental in the restoration of the 1920's Engleberg Huller, patented in 1884. Herbert is considered an expert by some in rice milling, having spent the better part of his adult life working in and around rice mills. He supplied me with various new old stock parts, bearings, screens, pulleys, and even an extra main shaft. Also helping with the milling in Eunice were friends John Bailey and Clarence Guillory. I recently completed a screw converyor to carry the bran out from under the mill to the side.
