This is a HORNSBY & Son Ltd engine, this trademark being
located at Grantham, England, and it was found in a barn in
the French Burgundy in 2000.
It was completely restored by my father, "Francis Bridet", who can now enjoy it.
The engine n° 37273, is a 2 hp petrol engine. It was sold new to a Hornsby agent in Paris, R. Wallut & Co. on 3rd December 1910.
As you can note from the enclosed pictures, it is now in perfect operating condition. Lately associated to a small cereal threshing-machine (also restored by my father), it was the central animation of a sympathetic local event in the village of Montagny sur Grôsne, 71520 France.
