Dumpster Treasures

Here are a couple pictures of what I call Dumpster Treasures.  These items, believe it or not, were obtained from the dumpster of a local brass company going out of business.  A good friend, who worked there, showed me some of the "stuff" they were throwing in the dumpster.  I looked with astonishment and said, "Where's this dumpster?"  It wasn't long, I was head first in the dumpster handing lots of brass to my friend who told me about these Dumpster Treasures.

Shown are #0 & #8  Drip Oilers,  #2 Automatic Grease Cup,  Fluid Level Indicator, Small Steam Whistle,  Tri-Cocks and other oilers.  All are Lunkenheimer Mfg. Co.

   Circa 1920's Exhaust Whistle

When my friend Carl was purchasing a home in Washington County, we went to the barn and in a large cardboard barrel was this "Steam Whistle".  I looked and said, "Hey - Look at this steam whistle!"  Carl said, "It's an exhaust whistle", "You can have it if you want".  Are you kidding me?  Finds like this just don't come every day.
