Petter M

Early in 2000, I decided to make a trip over to the UK to stay with Jim and Dolly French and check out the English engine rally scene. To do that, I needed my own English engine to rally. Jim found me a Lister CS and this Petter M, a restored engine which the previous owner has been showing for eight years. The seller included with it a board giving the history of the engine, along with a few photographs of the restoration.

These pictures were my first sighting of my new engine in January 2000

The Petter went to two UK rallies, Rushden Cavalcade and Stoke Goldington. For more information about these, see The Yank's Trip

At the end of my trip, we had an enigne day at "home", running the Petter while Jim completed his restoration of his 5HP Petter M Victory model - see The Yank's Trip

After my return home, Jim and his brothers crated the engines (in the left pic is the Petter M and a Petter A, a gift from Roland Craven) and organised shipping to Pennsylvania.

Now it was time to show America the Petter M! Seen here at Portland, Indiana in 2000, the Fort Allan Antique Farm Equipment Association Apple and Arts Festival in October 2000 and finally at the FAAFEA spring show at West Overton in May 2001.
