Here is the start of the boiler. The picture on the left shows the overall boiler with the inner part of the firebox welded. Yes the firebox does look a bit short- we later lengthend it, and you're looking at it's inner core before the stays were layed out and welded in. The one on the right is a closer look at where most of the boiler pipe fittings are welded in and you can also see where it's cut out for the smoke stack and the steam dome.
