I've had this engine for a couple of years. It's not as old as the others and it's a fairly common engine around here for pumping oil wells. The engine had been gone through just before I got it, so I didn't have to do anything to it, but I guess it could use some paint? I decided to use this engine to power a 7.2 KW generator which it runs real nice and it's not as noisy as a typical generator. I put a cherry bomb on the engine to quiet it down. It works like a charm. The generator is an 1800 RPM 4 pole. Since the engine doesn't like much over 550 RPM's I had quite the pulley ratio to get the generator RPM to 1800. The pulley on the engine is almost the size of the flywheel! It pretty much has a permanent spot since it's so heavy, I had to move it with the tractor, and I don't have it on wheels.
